My Final Story Idea
My piece will be presented in the form of a music video/trailer,
playing to the song ‘do I wanna know.’ The Music Video trailer will be the
story in a short vague sequence..
My main focus on the project is, setting the character appearance
as visual analysis of specifically unique scenes and events in music videos are
most effective, and appeal greatly. It’s a way of capturing audience’s
attention. Also the journey of discovering more and more throughout the clip is
‘story building’ and creating ‘visual chapters’. This adapts the style of the
film and most often keeps audiences focused and attentive till the end.
Plot: The main character (Mr. Time) is a man who deals with the consequences
of life and death. How much time do you have? This time, time is in a struggle
in having to save ‘Life’ by stealing a wish from the stars with the help of,
hope and faith (the twins), fate, love, space, and reason. In this short saga,
Time goes through a journey, like none before; realizing the true meaning of
life.
In the beginning, Time find himself in a bit of a twist when life is
about to end. The only way to save life is to steal a wish from the stars, Time
Is willing to do this, the only problem is how he’s going to get up there. In
this case, time must visit his friends on this journey, to gain the power to
take the stars wish. The first people
Time goes to are Hope and faith, who reject time, because he doesn’t believe
and cant. They send him to love, which has had a past relationship with time.
My first idea was to have a group of men play the roles but then an
old idea struck into mind of having a woman playing the main role, with
shocking and exaggerated postures and characters yet dressing in bright
lipsticks and dresses, which seemed more eccentric and unique to me. Really
brings out the ‘wo-man’,
and I believe I would most enjoy experimenting with something like this. the
idea is to give simply beautiful women, the look of bravery, strength, style,
specific taste, sharpness yet clumsiness and fault in doing a mans job. The
whole guy image on a girl is very beautiful.
I find it very loud and bold.
I’d also like to use more characteristic personality just as
much as any intriguing visual
backgrounds, id like to make the character glow the whole scene visually with spirit
shattering everything around her with their presence. a pop art sort of strong definitive, yet quite
sensitive and masculine.
I have decided to film this in front of a
blue screen and filling the chroma key in with space/odd themed backgrounds
which would suit and make things look interesting and bizarre. I will be doing
this at home and using siblings for actors.
